If for any reason you aren’t happy with your subscription experience, you can cancel anytime and receive credit to shop from hundreds of products in our online marketplace (including Add-Ons & VIP sales and the Artisan Shop). You can do this right from your subscription settings and receive shop/add-on credits right away. Learn more about how to cancel your subscription here.
GlobeIn subscriptions are set to renew automatically (with the exception of prepaid gifts—click here for a guide on determining if your subscription is recurring or prepaid). Renewal dates are provided at checkout, in your itemized receipt, and in your GlobeIn account, so as to avoid any surprises. You can read more about when and how much you'll be billed here. If you were billed a renewal for your subscription and don’t want to continue, you can still cancel directly in your subscription settings and receive shop/add-on credits right away. If you're having trouble, please don't hesitate to customer support and they can provide you with credits for the unused portion of your subscription.
While we happily provide shop/add-on credits, we aren’t able to provide refunds on subscriptions.
Working with artisans making handmade products means that we need to place orders 6+ months in advance, to account for the time-consuming traditional techniques used to create the products, shipping timelines from multiple suppliers all over the world, and necessity of all products arriving in time to make it into one particular curated box. Considering the number of different box choices we offer each month, this makes for a huge logistical process with many variables taken into account by our product team. When you place your order, we use this information to plan ahead and ensure we’ll have enough products for all of our subscribers in six months time.
As a Fair Trade business, our goal is to help the artisan groups we work with make a sustainable livelihood. That’s why, unlike other retail businesses, we do not cancel orders to accommodate fluctuations in demand. We always commit to the orders that we place with artisan groups, which is why we ask you to commit to the length of your subscription so that we can plan accordingly.
Our Fair Trade model also means that rather than paying for items months or more after we receive them, we pay a portion upfront or upon shipment notice. This is one of the reasons that we use a subscription model rather than relying on one-off purchases, so we can be sure that we can cover the costs of paying for these items before we commit to them.
While we hope you love your subscription, we totally understand if it’s not for you, and that’s why we make it really easy to cancel and receive shop/add-on credits for the unused portion of your subscription.
